47.3MP CMOS Sensor with 187MP High Resolution Mode
This brand new system takes LUMIX deeper into the world of professional photographic expression. The Lumix S1R has a 47.3-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor (36mm x 24mm), the highest resolution in its class* and supports low-light shooting at up to ISO 25600 (extendable to ISO 51200).
High Resolution Mode allows photographers in the landscape, architecture, product and still life photography fields to capture incredible 187MP files for highly detailed large format prints. * As a Digital Single Lens Mirrorless Camera, as of February 1, 2019.
5-axis Dual I.S. 2
The LUMIX S1R features 5-axis Dual I.S. 2* (Image Stabilizer), allowing the use of a 7-stop slower shutter speed. ** The LUMIX S1R eliminates shake in both body and lens even at the telephoto setting. It also works in both photo and video recording, including 4K video. The astonishing power of the 5-axis Body I.S. with 5.5-stop compensation power*** corrects shake for all lenses, even those not equipped with O.I.S. * 5 Axis Dual I.S 2 can be used with Panasonic LUMIX L-mount lenses that feature O.I.S.

Advanced AF and AI Technology
Super-fast lens and sensor communication of 480 fps and Panasonic’s DFD (Depth From Defocus) technology allow the LUMIX S1R to achieve an ultra-high-speed, high-precision AF of approximately 0.08 sec*. The S1R also boasts high-speed burst shooting at 9 fps (AFS) or 6 fps (AFC), and excels in low-light shooting, with -6EV* luminance detection performance in Low Light AF, thanks to the higher sensitivity and optimised tuning of the sensor. Advanced AI Technology detects specific subjects, like humans or fast-moving animals, and keeps tracking these subjects even when they are not facing the camera. * 11EV, at wide-end with S-R24105 (CIPA) in LVF120 fps setting.

5,760k-dot Live View Finder
The class-leading Live View Finder offers the world’s highest resolution* with a 5.7 million dot OLED display that delivers a minimum time lag of less than 0.005 sec and an exceptional 10,000:1 high contrast ratio. The 2.1 million dot monitor has a tri-axial tilt design for further shooting versatility, offering superb flexibility in a variety of situations, including high and low angle shooting and portraits. * Among full-frame Digital Single Lens Mirrorless Cameras as of February 1, 2019.
Double Memory Card Slot for Flexible Data Management
The double memory card slot is compatible with SD Memory Cards (UHS-II), XQD Memory Cards* and CFexpress Memory Cards (TypeB)**. Allocation Record mode allows you to specify the card slot to be used for recording for different image formats. This feature is also convenient for recording long videos or as a backup. Relay Recording mode relays recording to the other card slot after the first card runs out of free space during recording. Backup Recording mode records the same data to the two cards. * Can not be used with AVCHD format. XQD is a registered trademark of Sony Corporation. The CFexpress Ver 2.0 Type B is a trademark licensed by the CompactFlash Association.

Tough, Durable Design
To be tough enough to withstand heavy field use, the camera structure is composed of a magnesium alloy full die-cast front/rear frame. Robust construction and a seal for every joint, dial, and button make the LUMIX S1R not only splash resistant and dust resistant* but also freeze resistant down to -10 degrees Celsius. The durable shutter unit will withstand around 400,000 releases. * Dust and Splash Resistant does not guarantee that damage will not occur if this camera is subjected to direct contact with dust and water.
4K 60p/50p Video Recording
LUMIX S Series full-frame cameras offer an unequalled videography feature set, recording smooth 4K 60p/50p, as well as High Speed Video which lets you record slow motion video in 4K (maximum 60 fps/50 fps) and FHD (maximum 180 fps/150 fps). 5K 30p/25p video is also possible with a firmware update.**
The S1R is also compatible with an XLR microphone adaptor to support professional audio quality. * Maximum recording time of 15 minutes in 4K 60p/50p.
