Ultra-fast Autofocus and AFC Burst

DFD allows the LUMIX G9 to calculate focal lens movement by comparing depth of field values of two images at incredibly high speed. 4K 60p/50p Video Recording
The LUMIX G9 takes outstanding shooting performance to another level with high-precision, silky smooth 4K 60p/50p (QFHD 4K: 3840 x 2160) video recording. The firmware version 2.0 enables 4K 30p/25p/24p 4:2:2 10-bit recording in MOV format and VFR (variable frame rate) recording.
V-Log L Recording
The Upgrade Software Key DMW-SFU1 (sold separately)* and LUMIX G9 firmware version 2.0 enable V-Log L recording. Since V-Log L has the same V-Gamut characteristics as V-Log, LUTs used with V-Log can be used in colour grading. And footage from VariCam series cameras can be seamlessly included in the edit.** *Please refer to the bundled instruction manual for the activation procedure.

Large Status LCD
For the first time on a LUMIX camera, a status LCD has been added that lets you instantly confirm your settings. Convenient for shooting with frequent settings adjustments, and for simply framing with the viewfinder and rear monitor. Also handy for scenes such as nighttime shots, when the light of the rear monitor bothers you.
6.5-stop Dual I.S. 2
Our Dual I.S 2 technology makes it so much easier to get sharp photos and stable video even when performing handheld photography with long telephoto lenses or using long shutter speeds. With 6.5-stop compensation including up to the tele-end,* the LUMIX G9 eliminates shake in both body and lens even at the telephoto setting. It also works in both photo and video recording, including 4K video.
