Newly Designed Full-frame Sensor with Dual Native ISO Technology
The newly designed 24.2-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor of the LUMIX S1H features Dual Native ISO technology. The image sensor can leverage a dual-base ISO setting, resulting in minimized noise and outstanding image quality from low to high sensitivity. This feature teams up with the Venus Engine to deliver maximum ISO 51200 / Extended ISO 204800 for minimal noise at high sensitivity and beautiful expression of dark areas in the frame. In addition, a low-pass filter effectively minimizes moiré patterns. Whenever professional-level low-light shooting is required, the LUMIX S1H is ready for action.
Wide Range of Recording Formats
With its full range of recording modes, the LUMIX S1H has every industry covered, from cinema to TV broadcasting. In addition to C4K/4K 60p/50p* 4:2:0 10-bit and C4K/4K 30p/25p/24p 4:2:2 10-bit, the camera newly offers 6K/24p 4:2:0 10-bit in 3:2 and 5.9K 30p/25p/24p 4:2:0 10-bit in 16:9. Anamorphic mode in 4K is also available. Ultra-high image quality, flexibility, and expressiveness — the LUMIX S1H is ready for today’s demanding shoots. * In Super 35mm and PIXEL/PIXEL settings.
4:2:2 10-bit Internal Recording / HDMI Output
Featuring an incredibly rich colour profile, C4K/4K 30p/25p/24p 4:2:2 10-bit video is recordable in-camera. In the 10-bit setting, 4:2:2 10-bit HDMI output is supported along with simultaneous external drive / SD card recording.
Leveraging the expressive power of a full-frame camera takes 4K video to exciting new places. Also, 5.9K/4K/Anamorphic 3.5K(4:3) 12-bit RAW output has become possible with a firmware update.* * Firmware must be updated to version 2.1 or later. Use the ATOMOS Ninja V 4K HDR Monitor-Recorder (AtomosOS 10.52 or higher). This does not guarantee all of the capabilities that the compatible external recorder may have.

RAW Video Data Output for Professional Film Creation
The firmware update enables the output of maximum 29.97p 5.9K (5888x3312, 16:9) / 59.94p 4K (4128x2176, 17:9) and Anamorphic 3.5K (3536x2656, 4:3) 12-bit RAW video data over HDMI to save it as Apple ProRes RAW on the AtomosNinja V 4K HDR monitor-recorder.* The BlackmagicRAW can also be recorded on Video Assist 12G HDR.** * Please update the firmware to version 2.1 or later.

From basic functionality to advanced technology, the LUMIX S1H is designed to offer outstanding, multifaceted video performance. VFR (variable frame rate) functionality supports both overcranking and undercranking. Users have access to 2.5x slow (24p/60 fps) in C4K/4K and 7.5x super-slow (24p/180 fps) in FHD.* HFR (high frame rate) recording includes audio and autofocus, allowing users to create slow-motion video in post-production. Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) is a high dynamic range (HDR) format that further expands users’ ability to create amazing video. * The degree of effect varies depending on the recording format and frequency, and the angle of view narrows if a frame rate over 150 fps is selected.

First Fan Ever in a Full-frame DSLM Camera* Supports Unlimited Video Recording
For the first time ever in a full-frame digital single-lens mirrorless camera,* the LUMIX S1H incorporates a fan as standard equipment — a feature typically found only on professional cameras. The fan is part of a newly developed heat-dispersing structure that supports unlimited video recording. The dust- and splash-resistant design,** low vibrations for minimal effect on the image stabilisation system, and ultra-quiet performance are other features that complement this new structure.
The fan can be used with four different settings. For example, AUTO1 starts the fan soon after shooting begins to keep heat down and facilitate longer shoots. AUTO2 prioritizes quiet performance and keeps the fan off as much as possible. * Among full-frame digital single-lens mirrorless cameras as of August 27, 2019. ** Dust- and splash-resistant does not guarantee that damage will not occur if this camera is subjected to direct contact with dust and water.
Newly Developed Tilt and Free-Angle Rear Monitor
The newly developed tilt and free-angle rear monitor leverages the convenience of both a tilt monitor and a free-angle monitor. Even with an HDMI or USB cable attached to the camera, the monitor can move freely. As a result, it is possible to use an HDMI monitor or external recorder while freely checking the camera monitor.
The large 3.2-inch, 2.33-million-dot monitor is 1.5x brighter than the brightest LUMIX monitor to date,* allowing users to enjoy outstanding visibility even in bright sunlight. Moreover, the large status LCD presents optimized information about both still photographs and videos, providing easy access to time codes, the audio level meter, and more. * Comparison with LUMIX S1R, S1, GH5 and GH5S.
Tough Body for a Wide Range of Weather Conditions
The tough body is ready to take on a variety of challenging shooting environments. The magnesium alloy full die-cast frame is highly durable, while sealing helps protect every seam, dial, and button. The camera as a whole is dust- and splash-resistant* and designed for use at temperatures as low as -10 °C. In combination, these features help make shooting both productive and enjoyable in a wide range of weather conditions. * Dust- and splash-resistant does not guarantee that damage will not occur if this camera is subjected to direct contact with dust and water.
